We had the chance to be in Paris for Halloween! Unfortunately, it was our last day there before we had to flight out, so we couldn’t go out to party. Without getting all dressed up, we did get a good Halloween feeling by visiting the Medieval Museum and the Lachaise Cemetery! We didn’t have that much planned for our last day in Paris, so we thought it would be a good idea to check out the medieval museum. It was indeed fun, but you need to like that period to enjoy it! I actually found the tapestry the most, which …
Paris Series: Halloween in Paris
Paris Series: Versailles
After five days on intense visiting within Paris, it was time for a little escape out of town! I was hoping the crowd would be smaller, as Versailles is a good hour outside of Paris… But no, a lot of people still showed up! After all, Versailles is in the must-see of most people! Even though the line looked pretty long, we were able to get in pretty fast (read 45-50 minutes). That’s one of the most awesome perks of visiting Paris during fall! You get in a lot faster than you would in the summer (plus it’s not crazy …
Paris Series: Ile de la Cité
There are so many things to see in Paris! I was so glad we had a full week to spend there, because even with our days packed, I feel like there is still lots to see. For our fourth day in the city, I have to admit we didn’t do much. I think it’s because we woke up rather late, then spent a lot of time waiting in line to get into museum. So we were only able to fit in the Orsay Museum and l’Orangerie. Tickets online were more expensive, so I thought we’d buy them there. It wasn’t …
Paris Series: Opera and Eiffel Tower
For our third day in Paris, I packed a lot of sightseeing. All of us were eager to get closer to the Eiffel Tower. We’d been able to see it a few times over the first two days, but it was time to finally walk underneath it and climb it! I was unfortunately not able to buy tickets that would take us to the third floor, only the second one. But since our time spot was at 8 PM, we had to keep ourselves busy for the day! Our day started at the Garnier Opera. I don’t think it’s a …
Paris Series: Montmartre, the Art Neighborhood
For our second day in the City of Lights, we decided to explore a neighborhood we heard a lot about: Montmartre. As a Moulin Rouge fan, I knew I couldn’t miss that part of Paris. Our day starting with a lot of stairs, something I wasn’t expecting but should have known! After all, Montmartre begins with “Mont”, the French word for hill… Our first stop once we got out the metro was the Sacré-Coeur basilica. Before going to Paris, I heard a lot of people saying it was absolutely worth it, so we walked into in, around it and up it! The …
